Economics of Colour
Doppler
- If one do daily at least one colour
Doppler study, the charge will be 1000Rs./ study. Now we are
considering only 300 patients / year (Here we are excluding 52
Sundays and 12 holidays).
- We are not counting increasing patient
per year.
Now 1000 Rs. x 300 patients = 3,00,000
Rs. / Per annum.
- In Most cities usg abd. With pelvis
was 350Rs. in 1998 and 700Rs. in 2008. Now we can consider
rise of at least 5 % per year (For any modality in
radiology). Usually now days we can say at least 90% of us
have Doppler machine, majority of them doing mainly
sonography. So Machine is not used optimally.
- Table shows total income,
Depreciation, total expense and interest income after 10
years of Doppler practice with purchasing brand new Doppler
machine worth 12 lacks Rs with three probes provided by the
company and with additional more three probes to be procured
on our cost.
- This table assumed figure is based
on best of our knowledge, Participant are required to use
there wisdom to furnish such calculation for their own-self.

Other Work will increase as
credit of centre will increase. One can say at least 1 usg [Rs.
500] & x-ray will increase daily which lead to at least Rs.
18,37,500 collections after 10 years.

Machine purchase,
depreciation, three probe failure [3 Probes provided by any
company + 3 additional new probes for next 10 years], interest
of machine & other expense. [jelly, color print, light bill
etc.] will be app. Total Rs. 23,85,500 for 10 years.
It is the man behind the machine, not machine behind the man.
Now total amount one get =
Rs. 51,34,380 after 10 years of colour Doppler practice
period.
